Fields

We keep an up to date listing of legal places to play airsoft on our forum, in the “Where To Play” forum:

SoCal Airsoft defines “Legal” airsoft fields as follows:

1) Private property in which the game/event organizer has WRITTEN permission from the land owner to use for airsoft purposes.
Without permission to play on this land, you are trespassing and possibly face legal repercussions.

2) A business which allows airsoft games/events to take place within it’s property.
Examples would be paintball fields, established airsoft businesses, etc.

Any other location is considered a public place and therefore illegal as established by the 2008 Dangerous Weapons Control Laws, Section 12256, subsection (e):

(e) For purposes of this section, the term “public place” means an area open to the public and includes streets, sidewalks, bridges, alleys, plazas, parks, driveways, front yards, parking lots, automobiles, whether moving or not, and buildings open to the general public, including those that serve food or drink, or provide entertainment, and the doorways and entrances to buildings or dwellings..
