Gallery Updated: Baab Achoo’s Bulge

In the mountains of the Grape Vine sits the small town of Frazier Park, home to Southern California’s most unique field. Mountain Top Paintball is host to many events, the most colorful of which organized by Brave Sir Robin. Innovative, off-the-beaten-path and sometimes just down right wacky, his games always produce positive feedback from attendees and sets the bar that much higher for the rest of us.

Crazy8 (quickly becoming SoCal’s unofficial Op Photog!) generously gave us 23 photos of the event which have been added to our gallery.

Check out the event scenario posted below:

On the crossroads of Al Lerjih and Bandanastan there is a small, autonomous clan of merchants, miners, and humble ranchers that occupy Tecuya’s Sinus Pass. They do not have vast natural resources, nor a powerful army, nor any industry to speak of. What they do have is shrewd business savvy and the good fortune to be situated on the only trade route between two great empires to the west (Al Lerjih) and east (Bandanastan). This equilibrium was respectfully maintained by both powers for centuries as it allowed for a peaceful and lucrative coexistence between the two great powers of the region.

Tecuya Pass’ perenial potentate, Baab Ahchoo, watches as his trade revenues gradually dwindle while Eb En Nizir Scourge and Mad Miner Mustafa seem to have developed a taste for the finer things. Oblivious to this, Baab Ahchoo responds by increasing tariffs by 50%. He is well-pleased with his bulging pockets as he is now making more than his venerated father ever dreamed of.

Meanwhile, tensions between the eastern and western tribes began rise when increased tariffs begin to cut into their treasuries. Both the eastern and western trade partners began to mistrust each other resulting in boycotts, embargoes, and sanctions.

The Bandanastan Emir dispatched his clandestine special agent, Khalid Kerchief, to the region to discretely find a new trade partners within the Tecuya tribe. Meanwhile, Al Lerjih’s Grand Council allocated vast sums for Hizzed Amin’s elite tan forces to build and repair trade partnerships within Tecuya for the eastern power.

Their plan may have succeeded had they not come face-to-face with each other in what would be known throughout the region as: The Battle for Baab Ahchoo’s Bulge.
